Waiting... day 27!

Ever been through a season of life in which you feel like you had a theme song? Most of the time I feel like mine is the circus song (entry of the gladiators) - do do dodododo do da do do. But it has changed these past 4 weeks to John Waller's While I Wait. If you aren't familiar with the song, the lyrics are below and it's track #2 on the mixpod at the bottom of this page.

I'm waiting, I'm waiting on you, Lord

And I am hopeful, I'm waiting on you, Lord

Though it is painful, but patiently, I will wait

I will move ahead, bold and confident

Taking every step in obedience

While I'm waiting, I will serve you

While I'm waiting, I will worship

While I'm waiting, I will not faint

I'll be running the race, even while I wait

I'm waiting, I'm waiting on you Lord

And I am peaceful, I'm waiting on you Lord

Though it's not easy, but faithfully, I will wait

Yes, I will wait!

This 27 days of waiting at the top of the boys list (preceded by 7 months of waiting... preceded by 3 years of waiting) has been one of the most stretching times of my life. And while this time has been very stretching, it has also been marked by a peace that transcends understanding (ok, maybe not constantly, but much of it.) God's word has called me to remember his goodness and his promises to us. "... in all things [He] works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose." And, "He who did not spare his own son, but gave him up for us all - how will He not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?" Romans 8:28+32.

And the truth is, even though I can't see it, God has already done SO much to bring us to this point. He has burdened our hearts, raised up an incredible team of people to support and encourage us, allowed us time to save/raise the needed funds, picked out OUR child half-way around the world, refined our hearts and is working miracles on a daily basis to bring this "desire of our hearts" to completion! I have tremendous reasons to be thankful and praise Him!!!

Therefore, my desire is to serve him, worship him, and walk in obedience - with boldness and confidence - for the remainder of this wait! Giving glory to the only one who can bring our son to us!

We thank God everytime we remember each of you that have prayed and given and encouraged our family during this season!!! God has used you for great things! Thank you!

"My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are my ways your ways," declares the Lord. Isaiah 55:8 And I would add that His time is not our time!!! :)
